Review Process
Review Process
The review process is crucial for all esteemed scientific publications worldwide to maintain and enhance the quality and validity of scholarly work. The review process for all ATU Press journals and articles involves a double-blind, peer-reviewed system, ensuring that neither the author(s) nor the reviewer(s) have knowledge of each other's identities.
Each manuscript submitted for publication is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. All manuscripts are checked for plagiarism before being sent to reviewers, adhering to a strict zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism.
The editor-in-chief guarantees the confidentiality of the peer-review process, ensuring that only authors and reviewers have access to the manuscript content until its publication. The final decision on a manuscript is based entirely on reviewers' evaluations, without external influence. If there is a disagreement between reviewers, a third reviewer or the editorial board will make the final decision on acceptance or rejection.
At ATU Press, the anonymity of all individuals involved in the review process, particularly reviewers, is maintained with the utmost care and precision through a compartmentalized online data management system.
To help protect this process, please adhere to the following guidelines when submitting your papers:
- The cover page (first page) of your file must include the article title, author(s) names, affiliations, and reliable contact information for the corresponding author, including email address, phone number, and complete home address.
- The title page (second page) should only contain the article title without any additional information.
- All other pages in your file should be free of any information that might reveal the identity of the author(s).
- Do not include author names before the abstract or in any footnotes.
Once a paper is submitted to any ATU journal, the editorial board initially reviews it. If it meets the basic requirements for the review process, it is sent to relevant reviewers for the double-blind peer-review. Upon completion, the paper will be:
- Accepted;
- Conditionally accepted (pending revisions suggested by reviewers or the editorial board); or,
- Rejected.
